You don't have to figure out where to start. That's what I'm here for.

One conversation will tell us exactly where to begin.

I work with women writing memoir and narrative nonfiction — the kind of book that can only exist because the author lived it. Every service below is built around one thing: looking at what you have, telling you honestly what it is, and showing you exactly what to do next.

Book Blueprint Intensive

$1500

You have a story. You may have journals, pages, or just a strong sense that there's a book somewhere in your experience. What you don't have yet is the shape of it — what it actually is, who it's for, and where it begins.

That's exactly what the Book Blueprint gives you.

Over three sessions, we look at your material together. I don't hand you a generic framework. I tell you what I see in your specific story — what it is, what it needs, and what comes first. You leave with a written blueprint: a clear book concept, a structural direction, a sense of what belongs and what doesn't, and a map of next steps.

You will leave certain about the direction you're headed.

"I knew the book lived inside me. I just didn't know how to get it out. What Valerie gave me was structure and strategy — a foundation I could actually move from. For the first time, I can actually see the book emerging. Not someone else's words. Mine." — Claire C., book coaching client

The Blueprint for a Book methodology was developed by Author Accelerator founder Jennie Nash.

Momentum-Building Coaching

$1000/month

You have the concept. You know what the book is. Now you need to write it — consistently, with someone alongside you who reads your pages and tells you honestly what's working for your ideal reader and what's serving your story.

We meet regularly. You bring pages. I read them and give you direct, specific feedback on what the material is doing and what it needs next. Each month we work on whatever the manuscript demands: drafting, structure, scene development, narrative arc, transitions, pacing, or revision.

Three months minimum — because that's where a real body of work begins to take shape.

This is the right fit if you've completed the Book Blueprint and are ready to write, or if you already have a clear concept and a body of material and are looking for a consistent, committed partnership.

"The most helpful and productive aspect of working with Valerie was the process of discussing the strengths and weaknesses of my book with a knowledgeable person who was able to provide objective feedback." — Lauren A., book coaching client

Story Strategy Session

$295

A single focused session when you have a specific question and need a clear answer from someone who understands both the craft and the business of books.

You come in with a question — maybe you have a story you're not sure is a book yet, a structural decision to make, something about what belongs in the material, or a choice you're trying to make about the project. We work through it together. You leave with clarity and a specific next step.

This is not a coaching relationship — it's a single working conversation.

Before You Write a Single Word Workshop

$295

A 90-minute workshop for women who are serious about writing a book based on their experience and want honest answers to the questions that deserve attention before they begin.

These are not reasons to stop. They are the right questions to ask. And every one of them is answerable.

At least one of these questions comes up for almost every woman I talk to. This workshop gives you a clear, honest framework for each one so you can make informed decisions about your story, your readiness, and your next step. Every attendee receives the Decision Guide — a workbook built around these same seven questions with reflection space and a peace scale.

The questions this workshop is built to answer:

  • Is my writing good enough to do this story justice?
  • What will people think of me?
  • Am I emotionally ready to write this?
  • What if I regret putting this out into the world?
  • What if I hurt someone I still care about?
  • What if my intentions are misunderstood?
  • What if there are consequences I haven't anticipated?

"This workshop helped me identify some of the problems preventing me from starting my memoir. I now have tools I can use to move through those blocks." — Susan H., workshop attendee

"Thank you for the workshop last night. As someone who is just starting her writing journey but feeling rather intimidated, the workshop was exactly what I needed to gain more clarity and to feel like my story is worth telling." — Karen, workshop attendee
